RESUMO
La presente aportación pretende analizar el estándar europeo alcanzado por la República de Georgia en relación al derecho fundamental a la protección de datos personales en el ámbito de la salud pública, de conformidad con lo establecido en el Acuerdo de Asociación por el que rige su relación actual con la UE. De este modo, se procederá a un examen de las oportunas disposiciones legales de Derecho interno, con el ánimo de evaluar el impacto que, desde la óptica de la privacidad, ha tenido los cuatro primeros años de vigencia del Acuerdo, así como de aportar propuestas para la progresiva adaptación de aquéllas a las obligaciones introducidas por el Reglamento General de Protección de Datos
The present contribution analyzes the European standard achieved by the Republic of Georgia in relation to the fundamental right to protection of personal data in the field of public health, in accordance with the provisions of the Association Agreement by which their relationship is governed current with the EU. In this way, we will proceed to an examination of the appropriate legal provisions of domestic law, with the aim of evaluating the impact that, from the point of view of privacy, the first four years of validity of the Agreement have had, as well as contributing with proposals for the progressive adaptation of those to the obligations introduced by the General Regulation of Data Protection
